The existing tree in the farmland of an acres has been encircled by salt abode, with a built-up area of approximately 2300 sq.ft. The design of the Home revolves around a visually connected courtyard, ensuring that the linearity of the space is maintained as per the client's requirements. The project's sustainability and user experience are enhanced by ergonomically designed sill levels, multi-functional non-rigid furniture layouts, human-scale relatability, and materiality.

The design visualization aims to seamlessly blend the house with its natural surroundings, allowing the surroundings to take center stage rather than the house overpowering them.

In the living area, an L-shaped bench is strategically placed to create a casual and interactive atmosphere, adding a cozy touch reminiscent of a farmhouse rather than a formal seating arrangement with sofas. Considering the dynamics between spaces, the furniture layout in communal areas was carefully designed to accommodate larger gatherings while also providing comfort for smaller groups, seamlessly integrating them with the surrounding green farmland.

The concept behind the house design stems from the client's passion for organic farming. Our shared love for collecting antiques inspired us to create a house that could accommodate their interests and evolve organically over time, rather than having rigidly defined spaces.

We were committed to minimizing the embodied energy of the house. To achieve this, we utilized on-site made bricks and excavated soil as flooring in the central courtyard, which also served as the structure's skin. The brick walls and form finished slabs were intentionally left bare to seamlessly merge with the surroundings.
