The Hill House is located in a serene little village cocooned in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. At 2300m above sea level, between Darmoli and Dhaura, the site of the Mountain Home is surrounded by miles of dense jungles, orchards and pine trees. Its steep 1:3 slopes, terraces down towards the view of the Himalayas.It’s a humble second home for a young couple away from the city. The architectural intent of the house was condensing the content and form of a design to its bare essentials.

Hill house we have focused on creating multiple spaces into one open plan , Due to site restrictions the plan had to be a composite design of only 600 sqf. the Client brief suggest a 1 BHK cabin with a 3 side open view of the mountain range in the background. locally sourced pine wood has been suggested for its construction as the local carpanters have been using it locally for generations. a simple metal frame to be made off site and than fixed on site with walls and partitions fabricated out of pine wood.
